College access
Sancta Sophia College is a secure residential college and security is an important issue. Please review the map of Sancta Sophia College in order to understand how to enter and exit the College, by foot and vehicle.
The Pedestrian Gate is always open with the Driveway Gates locked. Guests are asked to observe the security issue and ensure security doors etc have closed before proceeding on. These doors are not to be left ‘propped open’ under any circumstance.
On check-in guests are issued with a security “Blue Chip” key as well as a room key. This blue chip opens the two main access points to the College thus creating a secure environment. Instructions for use are located at the two entrances.
Parking
Sancta Sophia College can offer parking that has been pre-arranged as spaces are limited.
Parking is $10 per day and payable prior to your arrival.
The Driveway Gates are permanently locked and require a four digit code issued by Sancta Sophia College to access these gates.
A permit is issued to you once payment is received along with your access code. The permit will display your surname, vehicle registration number and date(s) of permit use. This must be displayed on your dashboard at all times to avoid a fine. Your permit will be issued at the time of check-in.
Unless pre-arranged no guests or visitors are permitted to park on St John’s oval that adjoins Sancta Sophia Grounds. Nor are guests allowed to access Sancta Sophia Car Park from the St John’s Gates off Parramatta Road. St John’s College employs rangers to patrol and fine vehicles without permits or permission.
Please contact the Conference Coordinator to discuss or book your parking requirements.
Parking off site on the street is limited and metered. The RPA Hospital has a public car park located off Missenden Road with daily rates available.
Coach and large vehicle parking
Coaches and mini buses etc requiring access to the Sancta Sophia Car Park must ring to discuss arrangements with the Conference Coordinator.
Conference parking
Conference parking in large numbers can be arranged for conferences. Please call the Conference Coordinator to discuss your conference requirements.
Pedestrian access
Guests can access the College on foot via the Pedestrian Gate that is located off Missenden Road opposite the Camperdown Supermarket. The Pedestrian Gate is always open and from this point guests can walk around to Reception following the signage.
Taxi access
For guests who are arriving by taxi, please call the Conference Coordinator prior to your arrival, during business hours to obtain the Driveway Gates code for access, so the taxi may drive you and your luggage to the front of reception.
