The Lower Common Room is located within the oldest part of the College and is a grand room of stature with a large fireplace, bay window, grand piano, lead light windows and leather lounges.

The room can be used for a range of functions such as dinners, parties, seminars and board meetings. Accordion timber panels at the rear of the room allow the room to be further opened to a larger space.

Room capacity

The Lower Common Room is 17.5m in length and can be divided into two rooms of 11.9m long by 8.2 m wide and 5.6m long by 6.7m wide with accordion timber panels.

The Lower Common Room can be set as a dining or party room or as a conference seminar room and can be arranged in one of the following seating configurations to meet your needs:

• Theatre seating for 120 people
• Cocktail party for 130
• Dining table seating for 80 people
• U-shape seating with tables and chairs for 30 people
• Boardroom style seating for 45 people
