Reception

Sancta Sophia College reception hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am–6pm.

Check-in and check-out times

Check in and out during Business Hours:

• Check in from 2pm
• Check out strictly by 10am
• Check in may happen early when pre-arranged with the Conference Coordinator, however rooms are not guaranteed to be ready until 2pm.

Check in and out during Week-ends and/or after hours:

• You must advise the College when making your booking if you will be arriving outside of business hours.
• Usually during these times an R.A (Resident Attendant) can be contacted by two external phones located at the college entrances.
• Follow the instructions to call the RA for access and check-in.
• When checking-out after hours return your key to the slot located at Reception.

Security and access

The College has security doors at all entrances and offers a secure environment. The blue chip issued with your room key is to be used for access into the College. The two access points are:

1. The Main Entrance to the College (facing St John’s Oval and the University of Sydney). Walk to the top of the steps and see the phone located within the vestibule.
2. The Student Entrance located at Missenden road directly opposite the Pedestrian entrance.

The College has no lifts. Please advise if you need a ground-floor room when making your reservation.

In-room Telephone Connection

Telephone connection is available in all rooms with prior arrangement for access, instructions and an amount allocated for use. Please view the Instructions for connection here. 

In-room Internet Connection

Internet connection is available in all rooms both PC’s and Mac’s. If required a connection cord is available for purchase from Reception during office hours. Please view the Instructions for PC connection or Mac connection here. 

Computer Room

A computer room with printer and coin-operated photocopying is available for use. Please see reception during business hours for an access swipe key. Reams and half reams of paper are available from reception for purchase.

Laundry facilities

The College provides coin-operated washing machines and dryers as well as irons and ironing boards. A private dry cleaner is located opposite the College.

After-hours assistance

If you require assistance out of hours please call the duty resident for assistance by dialling 7777 on any College phone, or on the external blue phone located at front entrance of the College. Please reserve these calls for emergencies.

Smoking

Sancta Sophia College has a non-smoking policy for the College and grounds. The Lavender Garden has a receptacle for cigarette butts if required.
