Conference Venue

Sancta Sophia College is an excellent Conference Venue providing for all your conference requirements: rooms, equipment and catering. Sancta delivers a pleasant ambience, beautiful surroundings and delicious food. Staff can capably assist in arranging everything necessary to run successful conferences, seminars, workshops and training days.

The McDonald Wing Conference room has a direct entrance, lobby for registration, air-conditioning, and windows overlooking St John’s oval.

The Common Room in the main body of the College delivers traditional elegance, seating up to 150, theatre style.

Delegates always enjoy their days at Sancta.

"In December each year, HCSNet runs a one-week event called SummerFest. This brings together between 150 and 200 staff and postgraduate students for a varied collection of summer school courses, workshops and discussion sessions. It's a very complex event to organise, and it's probably a nightmare for any facility that hosts it, with people constantly rushing between sessions and searching out hidden corners for breakout discussions... We decided to use Sancta Sophia College for both the event itself and for the accommodation for our attendees. We did this with a little trepidation; since we weren't sure we could fit everything we wanted to do into the space available. But it worked wonderfully, and was a tremendously successful event for everyone involved, primarily because of the constant help and support provided by Andrea and her team. We aim to move the event to a new location each year, but we're finding it hard to avoid taking the easy way out for next year by just using Sancta again – the venue was simply ideal."
