Before you Apply

Undergraduates – How to Apply

Applications are welcome from students who intend to study at University. The majority of our students are studying at the University of Sydney but we also welcome students attending the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the University of Notre Dame, Australian Catholic University (ACU) and others.

Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year. If you are considering taking a year off after completing high school, we advise you to send your application to the College this year so that an interview can be arranged for your proposed entrance to the College the following year.

Admission Procedure
To apply for admission to Sancta Sophia College students need to download and complete the Sancta Application Form (MS Word) | Sancta Application Form   and return via email, fax or post with the following:

• Two references. (Download and complete the Referee's Report (MS Word) | Referee's Report )
• Four recent passport sized colour photographs
• The application fee of $100.
• Personal Statement of your accomplishments and achievements and about yourself, including personal values, academic, artistic, sporting, cultural and community experience. (max. 300 words)

Once the application has been received and reviewed by the Principal, students are called for a personal interview at the College or by phone.

Postgraduates and Visiting Academics – How to Apply

Sancta Sophia offers a peaceful and harmonious residency to a growing number of postgraduate men and women and visiting academics.  Many of the postgraduate bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and are generally located in the quieter areas of the College.

Accommodation is available on a semester or annual basis on application to the Principal.
