Students can take part in both intercollegiate and intramural sport, with options that suit different levels of experience and commitment. Some choose to compete at a high level across the University, while others get involved through more flexible, social formats that fit around study and other commitments. All residents also receive a gym membership to the Sydney Uni Sport facilities, supporting regular training and exercise.
Intercollegiate sport
Sancta competes in the University of Sydney’s intercollegiate Rosebowl (women) sporting competition which runs throughout the acamdeic year. Intramural Championship
For students looking for a more flexible and social option, the University of Sydney’s Intramural Championship offers another way to get involved. The program brings together students from residential colleges, University accommodation and private student residences to compete in a series of team-based events across the year. Students represent Sancta and contribute points through both participation and results. Participation is flexible, with students able to join events as they choose. Sports vary each year and may include:
- Oz tag
- Badminton
- Ultimate frisbee
- Futsal

Intramural sport suits students who want to stay active, meet people and be part of a team environment without the same level of training or commitment required for the intercollegiate sporting competition.
