Sancta is the ideal choice for your next Sydney get-away

Sancta offers casual and short-term accommodation for guests in our purpose-built Graduate House building throughout the year, subject to availability. Our rooms are ideal for conference groups, visiting academics, visitors to Sydney, alumni of the College, students attending Summer School at university, and others requiring affordable accommodation in a central location. 

All rooms contain a private ensuite bathroom, and options exist for king-single and queen rooms. Our rooms are popular amongst guests to the University of Sydney due to our close proximity to University grounds, and our excellent accessibility via public transport from the CBD and other nearby hubs (such as Central, Redfern, Glebe and Newtown).

To enquire about availability or make a booking, please contact Sancta’s Front Desk Coordinator at reception@sancta.edu.au, providing the full details of your intended stay, including preferred dates, number of guests and room requirements. Discounted room rates may be available for alumni of the College.

From February to November, Sancta is home to over 300 university students, and availability for short stays during this period is strictly limited. Our greatest availability is typically during the summer period from December to January, when more rooms are available for guest accommodation.

  • All bookings must be paid for in full prior to arrival.
  • No refunds are made for cancellations within 7 days of the booking start date. 
  • Parking is not available unless prior arrangements have been made (subject to availability).
  • Sancta Sophia College cannot refund money to any guest(s) whom, for any reason, have to leave the College during their stay. 
  • Underage guests must book to stay with their parent or legal guardian.

Stay close to everything Sydney has to offer

We are nestled among some of Sydney’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, including Newtown, Glebe, Annandale and Chippendale, all within an easy walk or short bus ride. Short stay guests enjoy easy access to cafés, grocery stores, pharmacies and medical services around RPA Hospital, as well as university libraries, gyms, study spaces, parks and retail precincts along King Street and Broadway.
