The Sancta community congratulates alumna Simone Whetton (FR 1987) for being awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the University of Sydney. This prestigious honour, conferred during a graduation ceremony in May 2026 at the University’s Great Hall, recognises Simone’s exceptional contribution to student life at the University, particularly through her long-standing volunteerism, legal guidance, and support for Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and the University of Sydney Union (USU).
Across years of service, Simone has played a key role in strengthening student governance, mentoring student leaders, supporting equity and inclusion, and helping shape a stronger student experience for generations of University of Sydney students.
Simone is dedicated supporter of the College and Sancta students, and we are incredibly proud to see her recognised in this way.
