Postgraduate Senior Common Room President, Xinyi Wu, welcomed Sancta’s newest students at our Commencement Dinner on Saturday 15 February 2025 with the following address.
It’s such a pleasure to welcome all of you, new and returning students, to our Sancta family.
Our postgraduate community has always brought together individuals from diverse cultures, languages, and perspectives, each contributing something valuable and shaping this place in meaningful ways.
In a community as diverse as ours, you’ll find moments when you think you understand something perfectly but only to find more beneath to explore. And that’s okay. Because in those moments when we pause, listen, and try again, we begin to connect in ways that truly matter.
As we begin this year together, let’s stay curious, be present, and embrace both the learning and the way we build this community together. With each conversation and each shared moment, we’re adding our own touch to the story of Sancta — just as those before us did, and as those after us will.
So, here’s to the friendships we’ll build, the lessons we’ll learn, and the moments that will stay with us long after this year.
