Graduate House

Graduate House is Sancta Sophia College's gender-inclusive postgraduate residence. It is a well-established and diverse community of both domestic and international postgraduate and honours students, academics and medical professionals.

Opened in 2014 and located on-campus at the University of Sydney, Sancta’s Graduate House offers purpose-built facilities, ample natural light, and 128 modern ensuite rooms, ensuring the ideal environment for academic success. Each room has a microwave and mini fridge, whilst the common areas have full kitchens. Outdoor living comprises a rooftop terrace and BBQ lounge area. Every resident has their meals fully catered for by our in-house chefs.

A Vibrant and Diverse Postgraduate Community

There is no mould for fitting in at Sancta – our diversity of age, gender, culture and academic discipline means residents feel welcome from the day they arrive. The College values respect and support for all. A third of residents join us from countries such as Canada, China, India, USA, New Zealand and United Kingdom. Graduate House residents study at the University of Sydney, the University of Technology Sydney, and the University of Notre Dame Sydney, with the top five faculties being Medicine, Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Law, and Dentistry. Professionals in Residence

Sancta’s Professionals-in-Residence program is a key initiative of Sancta’s long-term aim – to be a hub for the world’s brightest scholars and professionals to live and learn together. Professionals-in-Residence brings professionals in their early years of practice or research into our community of university scholars. This builds upon our culture of knowledge-sharing and peer support, whilst adding a deeper layer of experience to the community. Each year, up to 20 working professionals will call Sancta’s Graduate House “home”. Places are subject to availability.
